13th World Congress of Food Science & Technology

13th World Congress of Food Science & Technology Food is Life will take place in Nantes, France, from September 17th to September 21st, 2006.

This World Congress of Food Science and Technology is the most significant event in food science and technology since the XIIth Congress in Chicago in July 2003 - and it is the first World Congress in Europe in 10 years.

It is important and of relevance to EVERYONE in the food science and technology field - i.e. Legislators, educators, policy advisors, researchers, research and development officials, food industries, food ingredients suppliers, food equipment suppliers, food scientists, food technologists and food engineers.

The following symposia have so far been confirmed as accepted by the Congress Committee:
" International Society of Food Engineers (ISFE) symposium
" Symposium organised by the International Symposium on the Properties of Water (ISOPOW)
" Lebanese proposal for a symposium involving Mid-East and N. Africa highlighting the regions Food Science, Food Safety and Food Industry drivers/concerns with speakers from the different areas of MENA (Middle East North Africa) region.

CALL FOR PAPERS
We are pleased to inform you that the IUFOST XIIIth World Congress «FOOD IS LIFE» online submission is open.

Abstracts can be submitted until March 15th, 2006, and submission deadline is extended to June 15th, 2006 for posters.

Fees will amount to 700 euros VAT included for delegates. 300 euros VAT included for students.
This is the opportunity for the global community of food science and techno-logy to meet, work and plan together.
This is the event not to be missed - includes plenary sessions, symposia, poster sessions, scientific and technical exhibitions, working group sessions, technical tours, cultural tours, events for accompanying participants showcasing the flavours of the French countryside of Brittany.
